My path
It started with self-reflection
I was lucky to be admitted to Columbia’s MBA as a college senior. The application taught me to reflect on myself, so I understood my strengths, goals and passions better. Within two years of graduating, I moved from consulting to Google as an Account Manager.
Applying abroad and job hunting are both hard. After helping 350+ younger students through their applications, I’m even more convinced that self-reflection matters, and I want to use my experience and resources to save you some detours.

Why Jason 學長
Why I started: expert help should not cost NT$300,000
After I started creating content, people often told me to become a full-time admissions consultant. Then I saw what the industry charges: NT$30,000 per school, 4 to 6 schools per applicant on average, and up to NT$300,000 for MBA consulting. Only people who could pay that much got expert help, and that didn’t feel fair to me.
So I took the problems I ran into as a student and job seeker and built an answer for each one:
Which schools are within reach?
I built OfferLand so applicants can check real admission results from past applicants when choosing schools.
Visit OfferLand →Which schools and programs should I apply to?
I hosted 30+ free online talks and put them on YouTube so people can hear first-hand experiences.
Watch on YouTube →Information online is outdated or wrong
I started “Jason 學長” to share current advice on studying abroad and careers.
Read the blog →How do I prepare my resume, interviews and SOP?
I turned the advice I give in one-on-one sessions into affordable e-books (in Chinese).
See the e-books →Three roles
I have heard 350+ stories, and found my own answers in them
Jason 學長
Helping students with resumes, essays and interview prep, and seeing the challenges of different life stages through their eyes.
OfferLand founder
Building a platform from scratch with partners from different backgrounds, so helping younger students turns into a structured way of passing experience on.
Google Account Manager
Helping clients grow in overseas markets, and learning to break problems down systematically and let data make the case.
I remember one student applying to US MBA programs who had little confidence at first and kept saying, “It’s fine as long as I get into a safety school.” We dug into their story, edited essays line by line and practiced mock interviews again and again. When the offer from their dream MBA came, they could hardly believe it. Many strong applicants simply underestimate themselves, and I want to make sure that doesn’t cost them their dream.
